Q: Does it work in Snow Leopard?
A: No. If you want to keep using this plugin, stay with Leopard.

Q: How do I uninstall this thing?
A: To uninstall the plugin from Front Row, do the following:
In the finder, navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/ and right-click on FrontRow.app. 
From the pop-up menu select Show Package Contents. A new window opens, showing the contents of the FrontRow.app. There you can delete the plugins you want to delete or move to a different place.

Q: Why is it free?
A: I’m very naive. I like people to pay because they feel my work is worth something. 

IMPORTANT: To support my work you can donate using the donate page or the button on the right. I make a little money (some cents per click) when people click the ads on this page so that also covers a small part of the cost of maintaining this site, but if you choose not to donate I do ask that you leave message in the Guestbook. Q: Can I get the source-code of your plugin? It’s soooo cooooool.....
A: The best thing you can do is to take a look at the FrontPython code, that’s what my stuff is based on. If you really want to see my sourcecode, it’s all in the plugin itself.

Q: How does it work?
A: From the Front Row plugin a command is send to the Finder using the Open Scripting Architechture from a Python program. From that point onward it’s up to OS X to deal with shutting down. If there are any programs requesting your attention, the Finder will wait until you respond to that and if that takes too long it will tell you that the shutdown process has timed out. However, none of this will be visible since Front Row obscures the whole lot! It is therefore important that you quit all programs before starting Front Row.

Q: What is it with you and this guestbook?
A: I live in a fantasyworld where people say thank you for stuff they get for free.

Q: Will you make more plugins?
A: Look, I’m not a programmer. I like programming it, but I’m a composer. Shutting down OS X from Front Row was really easy to do. I’ve had some great ideas for plugins that should be created, but my programming skills are not up to these tasks, nor do I have the time to become a programmer. Besides, I wouldn’t give away the fruits of my labour for free if programming was my profession!

Q: Can I send you an e-mail?
A: Sure. If you have my e-mail address. Oh no, wait... use the Guestbook instead.

Q: Do people actually ask all these questions?
A: No, and I don’t think a lot of people will read either them or the answers. But, if you’re still reading this it’s been worth my effort.
